Unbelievable Time Capsule! Pristine 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 Emerges Unrestored!

Prepare to be astonished by the exceptional condition of this 1965 Ford Galaxie 500 sedan, currently up for grabs on eBay in Bothell, Washington. The design of these ’65 Fords was so remarkable that they were said to move through the streets with an almost surreal silence, as highlighted in a vintage Ford brochure. We have to thank Barn Finder Larry D. for tipping us off about this incredible find, with the bidding starting at $7,800 and the reserve yet to be met.

Now, brace yourself for the most mind-blowing revelation: this Galaxie 500 is not a painstakingly restored showpiece—it’s all original. Yes, you read that correctly. With the exception of a clear coat applied by the previous and sole owner, the Ivy Green (?) paint underneath remains untouched. Check out the photo of the underside—solid as can be. It’s hard to believe that this third-gen Galaxie has weathered nearly six decades with such impeccable preservation.

For those who may raise an eyebrow at the car’s four doors, let’s put aside any preconceived notions. We all have our preferences, and I find the uniqueness of this four-door configuration rather charming. Surprisingly, according to Hagerty, the current market value for this car falls short of what one might expect. While an excellent two-door example with the same drivetrain is valued at $16,400, the four-door Galaxie seems undervalued at $8,600 for a #2 excellent condition. It’s time to challenge the conventional notions and recognize the rarity and allure of this well-preserved original.

Prepare to be mesmerized as you step inside this Galaxie 500 and witness its immaculate interior. It’s almost as if the car should come equipped with a built-in kleenex dispenser to catch the tears of joy from the lucky new owner. The seats are virtually flawless, appearing as though they’ve been untouched since 1965. Every other detail inside feels brand new, defying the expectations one might have for an unrestored vehicle. Even the engine, a 289-cu.in. OHV V8 producing 200 horsepower and 289 lb-ft of torque, runs smoothly and silently. It’s safe to say that this Galaxie 500 is a true marvel, a time capsule that surpasses any expectations of an original survivor.
