The veterinarians checked the canines and discovered that, in addition to the other issues, Romeo had a metal foreign body in his tummy. Both dogs have a long road to heal, but the neglect and suffering they experienced did not crush their spirit…
Both Romeo and Damian need human contact and have fallen in love with anybody who helps them heal.
The Nassau County SPCA’s executive director, Maria Mora, told The Dodo, “They are both really lovely.” “Kissing is their specialty. They will, however, require some training in order to improve their manners.”
As much while they adore people, Romeo and Damian have a really close relationship and appear to console each other as they recuperate and wait for their perfect forever homes to discover them.
When Romeo and Damian sleep, they constantly want to be touching and snuggle up close to each other…… and it’s the cutest thing ever.
“They will be available for adoption after they have been medically certified, which we anticipate will be any day now,” Mora added.
Romeo and Damian have been through a lot, but with the rescuers’ mutual aid and affection, they are more than eager to go on and embrace their second opportunity.
